NTR Biosensors (Neuro Tech for Rehabilitations) was founded as a result of a personal experience of one of the founders. A skiing accident caused a fracture of the tibial plateau, which led first to surgery and then to a complicated rehabilitation process. This led to the creation of an active support system for orthopedic rehabilitation based on real-time feedback and the sharing of rehabilitation data with one's doctor/physiotherapist to reduce the risk of relapses. From this starting point, the focus then expanded to the evaluation and collection of useful metrics in other areas of healthcare and sports.
